DBC: Contact Information and Templates
This option is available for each customer site. The information appears in the upper right-hand corner on the site. You can set information that is customer specific or a generic info that can be used on multiple sites; one set or template per site.
Contact Info
This is the information that displays in the upper right corner of your customer sites. This info can be customized for each customer site or left as the default at the distributor level.
- Log into your Legacy Distributor Admin.
Add "ThemeComponentUpdate.jsp" to the end of the URL (after the forward slash ( / ): https://admin.your_URL_here.com/ThemeComponentUpdate.jsp
Sample - Select the company you want to make a change to (if you leave it as your admin site - "NO COMPANY FOUND" here, you will update the info for all sites that do not have custom contact info).
- Select the Component Name: V2 Support from the drop-down.
- Make the necessary changes in the Component Value field. HTML is accepted here. The typical value is:

- Preview to confirm changes.
- Submit.
Contact Templates
The general flow to set up Contact Templates is that you must setup Contact Locations and Individual Contacts first. You will then setup Contact Groups, and your Individual Contacts can be added to these groups. The last step is setting up the Contact Template.
On the Contact Template, you can choose to assign a Contact Location, and you can also assign one or more Contact Groups to the template. Individual contacts cannot be assigned to a template, only groups.
The Contact Templates can contain contact locations, contact groups, a combination of the two, or neither.
To set up Contact Templates, go to your Distributor Admin site under "Work With Contacts." This will bring you to the current list of Contact Templates available.
Contacts Template
Here, you can edit, delete, or copy the current templates, or set up a new one by clicking the Create a Contact Template link (top right side of the page).
- Enter in a Template Name.
- Enter in a Template Title.
- If needed, select a Contact Location.
- Enter in Body Text to be displayed on the contact page.
- Assign Contact Groups to the template as needed.
- Press the Save button.
Individual Contact
Once you click on the Individual Contacts link, it will bring up a list of available contacts. Here, you can edit the current contacts or set up a new one by clicking the "Create a Contact" link (top right side of the page).
- Enter in Contact Name (Shows internally).
- Enter in Contact Title (Shows online).
- Enter in E-mail Address.
- Enter in Contact Information. This will be shown as additional contact information.
- If needed, upload an image to display along with their contact information. Maximum image size is 200 x 200.
- Press the Save button.
Contact Group
Once you click on the Contact Groups link, it will bring up a list of available groups. Here, you can edit, copy, or delete the current groups; or set up a new one by clicking the "Create a Contact Group" link (top right side of the page).
- Enter in a Group Name (Shows internally).
- Enter in a Group Title (Shows online).
- Body Text can be entered to provide additional contact information or background history about the group.
- In the Associate Contact(s) section, you can select an Individual Contact from the drop-down list.
- Enter in additional Contact Description information if needed.
- Press the Save button to add the individual contact to the group. Repeat steps 6 through 8 to add additional contacts if desired.
Contact Location
Once you click on the Contact Location link, it will bring up a list of available locations. Here, you can edit or delete the current locations or set up a new one by clicking the "Create a Contact Location" link (top right side of the page).
- From the "Work With Contacts" area, click on the Contact Locations link.
- Click the "Create a Contact Location" link.
- Enter in a Location Name (Shows internally).
- Enter in a Location Title (Shows online).
- Enter in the "General Contact Information". This will be shown as additional location information.
- Press the Save button.
Applying Contact Template to Customer Site
Once your Contact Templates are setup, you may choose them as an option in Work With Companies > Company Info on the left side.
Result
Upon clicking the contact info in the top right of the customer site (in the screenshot below, DB Commerce Support, the user will be presented with the contact information).
