DBD: Quick Lot Bin Change
This option will allow you to move inventory lot records from one bin location to another without the need to process an inventory adjustment. Note: This utility updates bin locations but does not affect GL balances or total on-hand quantities.
Path: Inventory Control > Setup > Quick Lot Bin Change
Enter the Customer, Item, and Location. Note: We recommend the use of the right-hand query button at the date field, which will display all the lots available for this specific item at this location. You can then select the lot that you wish to move.
Enter the new Bin Location and press Tab or Return to enter a specified quantity to move OR use the SAVE button to move the entire portion to the new bin location.
If you wish to only move a portion of the inventory to the new bin location, select the button for "Quantity to transfer."
This will bring up a new box that shows the entire inventory currently at this location.
If you click Done at this point, the entire quantity will be moved to the new location.
Or enter only the actual quantity you wish to move, then click Done.
Additional Fields available to be modified by this utility include:
- Customer Comment – This comment is available to print on packing list.
- Standard Unit Cost, Standard Cost U/M and Standard Unit Cost Qty-Entry - Here can create a gross profit adjustment at invoicing time.
- IMS Price – Used for specialized reporting
