EQC: Generating Orders

This class covers the functionality and features of the "View Internet Orders" program. This menu option generates eComm orders to EQDistributor orders (Purchase Orders and Warehouse Releases).

Order Generation Controls

Controls for this screen are in eCommerce Configuration / EQC Settings > Generate tab. Take a moment to review these settings before generating orders.

View Internet Orders

Go to eCommerce > View Internet Orders. The system may auto-down your orders or require the download button to clicked. This is controlled in General eCommerce Settings > Preview section.

When “Prompt for download” is selected, the download prompt appears. Click YES to pull orders in from the eCommerce site.

Click YES and the next window will show files being imported from the eCommerce site.

Preview Orders Screen

Downloaded orders display on the screen.

The Client: dropdown customizes the orders displayed by All, by client, by consultant or by CSR.

Click the plus to expand the order and see the details.

The information displayed in the grey box’s changes based on what is highlighted Highlight the order and view billing information. Highlight the item to view ship to and item information.

Generate Orders

Generating Orders creates either a Sales Order, Purchase Order or Warehouse Release based on the items in the online order.

  1. Toggle Selected button selects the order to generate.


    a. Indicated selected by the green checkmark next to the order.


    b. Toggle Selected may be automatic based on settings.


  2. Click Generate button to generate eComm order into PO or Release.
  3. After generation, a window displays the generated documents. Double click on the document to open and process the Purchase Order or Warehouse Release.

Batched Items

Batched Items generate separately. These are items where orders are combined for PO generation. Batched items have separate controls for order generation. (See eComm configuration) Batched items are flagged with a red B icon.

Toggle Batched Items and generate using Batches button.

Deleting Orders

An order can be deleted by highlighting and clicking Delete Order. This deletes the order in EQD, the order still exists on eCommerce.

An order can be recovered by clicking on Program > UnDelete Orders. Highlight and click UnDelete.

Note: Permanently Delete means orders cannot be recovered.

Note: Deleted orders will be available to UnDelete until holding files are purged (eComm > eComm Period End > Purge ‘Preview’ Holding Files).

Additional icons

These small icons are located between the Toggle Selected and Generate buttons.


Expand and contract the order tree.

Select and deselect all orders.

View Order Confirmation and Notes.

Placing an Item on Hold

To prevent order generation, double click on the item and check Hold Line box.

General Workflow

  1. Client submits an order online - sending email confirmation to representative selected.
  2. Download Orders – pull the order in from on-line.
  3. Select and Generate Orders – toggle selected and generate order.
  4. Edit and Process Orders – handle PO’s and releases per company workflow.
  5. Export to eComm – to update order tracking reports and inventory levels.
