EQC: EQLink-DBD Customer Settings
DB/d Customer Settings for EQ Link
This document identifies the data fields transmitted between DB Distributor (DB/d) and EQ Link(EQ/l) to the eCommerce sites
Customer Setup (DB/d) to Client Maintenance (EQ/l)
The screenshots show DB/d Customer Constant Data. The EQD screenshot shows Client Maintenance.
Direct Path: DB Distributor > Accounts Receivable > Setup > Customers.
The Customer is activated by selecting “EQ Link Client” from the dropdown field in Customer Constant Data, 2. Setup tab. The EQD Client ID, a 6-character field, is required and creates the Client ID in EQ/l.
Note: To deactivate a client – this setting must be changed manually in both software’s!
Mapped Fields
DB/d Customer Default Data
Information is sent from the ‘Customer Defaults’ fields.
1. Freight Markup: Optional
2. Ship Via: Recommended
3. Merchant Account – located in ‘Additional Parameters’ section. Merchant accounts are setup in both software’s. Credentials are not transmitted! Assign the Merchant Account to the Customer in additional parameters.
DB/d Ship-To’s
All ship-To’s from EQ Link Customers are transmitted to EQ/l. The Receiving Department is used to create the Ship-To code in EQ/l. The reason is because the Ship-to Code in DB/d has a four character limit and EQ/l has an 11 character limit. Essential for clients that who convert from the EQ/d back office product.
For newly created Ship-To’s, the Receiving Department will default to the Ship-To code. Change it during creation and before importing into EQ/l. Do not change the Receiving Dept. without following the “Changing the Receiving Department” workflow.
The Ship-To’s are sent to EQ Link where the eComm settings default to not “Upload To Internet”. In EQ/l, edit the desired Ship-To’s and check “Upload to Internet”.
Notes:
- A Customer can be activated and sent to EQ/l without a Ship-to!
- Ship-To’s are required for eCommerce users and must be set up eventually.
- Ship-To’s with foreign Country addresses – verify Country is available in EQ/l Company Maintenance.
