EQD: Warehouse Transfers

Transferring inventory between warehouses is done by either an inventory adjustment or a warehouse release transfer. When a packing slip is needed, use the warehouse release option.


Assign the Warehouse

Transferring the inventory via an Inventory Adjustment requires the additional warehouse to be assigned to the item before the adjustment. In Item Maintenance:


1. Enter the Client ID.

2. Edit the item.

3. Click the WHSE button.

4. Select new warehouse. Verify warehouse priority (follows listed order).

5. Click Okay.

6. Save the item & Exit Item Maintenance.


Inventory Adjustment Method

  • Transferring the inventory via an Inventory Adjustment is done from the inventory record.

Inventory Adjustment

Transferring the inventory via an Inventory Adjustment is done in the inventory record. Go to Inventory>Maintenance>WHSE Inventory Usage.


1. Enter the Client ID.

2. Enter the Item ID.

3. Select the warehouse where the inventory exists.

4. Highlight the lot record to transfer.

5. Click Program, Select Transfer Inventory.

6. Select the ‘Transfer To->’ warehouse.

7. Verify the Unit.

8. Enter the Quantity to transfer.

9. Enter Move To ARB (aisle/row/bin) if applicable.

10. Click Save.

11. The Adjust Remarks field appears to record the reason for the move. These remarks print on

the inventory transaction reports.

Notes

• Inventory transferred immediately.

• No Packing List.

• Adjustment recorded on reports (audit trail).


Warehouse Release Transfer Method

  • The Warehouse Release transfers inventory by selecting a Warehouse as the Ship-To. This option does not require the new warehouse to be assigned as it’s done automatically by the program.

Release Editing

1. Click New.

2. Enter the Client ID.

3. Change Send To> to Whse.

4. Enter the warehouse ID receiving the item.

5. Click Assign – a warning appears, click Yes to continue.

6. Enter the From Whse.

7. Enter the Item.

8. Lot records from that warehouse display.

9. Check the lot record to transfer.

10. Enter the Transfer Quantity.

11. Save.

12. Repeat or Exit.

13. Print/send Transfer Release to the warehouse

14. Exit.


Close the Warehouse Transfer

  • The new warehouse is added to the item, and the inventory is transferred when the warehouse transfer is closed. To close, go to OE > Releases > Close Warehouse Transfers


1. Enter the Client.

2. Transfer Rls #: optional.

3. Transfer Date: optional.

4. Select “Refresh”: Only open Warehouse Transfers display.

5. Check the transactions to close.

6. Click Close Selected Transfers.

7. Warning window, confirm closure by clicking Yes.


Notes

• Printed Release is the packing slip.

• New warehouse is added to the item (if necessary).

• Inventory is transferred to selected warehouse.

• Release is closed and removed from active order reports.

• Adjustment transactions recorded
