EQD: Enhanced Barcoded Releases
Enhanced Barcoding is a new feature for Warehouse Releases. It changes data on a release into a bar code format. This information can then be scanned into other software’s for ease of data entry!
Installs
- Download and update your keys. File > Utilities > Install Update > Install Modules. Click the download button. After updating the keys, the software will close.
- Install Bar Code Font FREE 3 of 9
- Font is located in Q2000/Installs folder.
- Must be copied into in Windows>FONTS directory.
- *Not required for AZURE clients.
Assign Bar Code Font
Each user that wants to print bar codes must log in as their user from their workstation and complete the following:
- Login to EQ Distributor
- Go to File > Preferences > Workstation Preferences
- Select Free 3 of 9 from the Bar Code Font
- Save
Barcode Configuration
This set up allows you to create different templates that have different fields identified to print in the barcode format. It is in QSend > QSend Maintenance > Barcode Configuration.
Create a Barcode ID
Create an ID that matches your situation. Default for the company or a Client ID for specific inventory program. There is a maximum of 11 alpha-numeric characters.
- Click ADD
- Enter an ID (example ALL)
- Enter a Description (example “Every Field”)
- Use the checkboxes to select the fields to barcode. When selected, the appropriate release field will auto-complete.
- Release – Release Number
- Client ID – 6-digit Client ID
- Ship-To ID – 15-digit (up to) Ship-To ID number
- Item ID – Item ID Number (SKU)
- A/R/B – Aisle / Row / Bin
- Total Qty Shipped – Total of this item shipped
- Lot Ship Qty – Used if total shipped from multiple inventory lots
- Release Sell – Per unit price
- Client PO Header – From the Summary Screen Client PO field
- Client PO–Line – From the line item Client PO field
- eComm Order # – eCommerce order number (Q-Net, EQC, DBC)
- Reset all will uncheck all selections.
- Save, then add additional Barcode ID’s as needed.
Using the Enhanced Barcode feature
The Enhanced Barcode feature works with every release format (save custom). To use, select the barcode ID from the dropdown options.
