Summary
How do you license a font? Adobe font, custom font, etc.
Resolution Steps
In order to simplify this process, DemandBridge has made arrangements with several font providers (most notably Monotype and Fontspring) and discussed custom licensing and pricing arrangements for using their font technology within DemandBridge.
When you request a font license via a support ticket, we will first search our existing libraries and see if we already have an arrangement in place for usage. At this point we will provide a cost and licensing period. If not, we might be able to suggest alternatives. If there are no alternatives and we don't already have an agreement, we will reach out to the creator of the font and explain the use case and request pricing. This will take some time, but we are committed to making sure that all fonts are properly deployed. Once an arrangement is made, the font can be installed and you may use it as needed.
Based on what we’ve seen, font licensing is typically either an annual subscription or a one-time fee, depending on the provider. Pricing can vary. We’ve had good experiences working with providers like Monotype (often annual licensing) and Fontspring (typically one-time purchases), both of which tend to offer reasonable pricing options.
Once we know the specific font, we can look into the best and most cost-effective option for your needs.
