DBPay - Fee Totals On Statement

DBPay: Understanding the Fee Totals on Your Statement

🔵 Overview On your statement, you will see two different fee amounts related to the same month, and it's important to know why they don't match.

Top Of The Statement: Fees This Month

This figure represents the actual total fees charged for the entire month. It covers every transaction and fee processed during that period and is the correct number to refer to when reviewing your monthly fees.

Deposit Detail Section: Accrued Fees

This number is not the full monthly total, but rather a partial or "snapshot" amount. It corresponds only to the fees related to the specific deposits listed in that section, which may cover only a portion of the month's transactions. Because deposits and transaction processing can span different dates, this amount doesn't include all fees from all transactions throughout the month.

Why The Totals Don't Match

These two totals serve different purposes. The reported total fees at the top summarize the entire month, while the accrued fees near deposit details reflect fees associated only with those particular deposits. That's why they do not match — they're measuring different groups of transactions and fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which fee total should I use when reviewing my monthly fees?

A: The Fees This Month total at the top of the statement. It covers every transaction and fee processed during the month.

Q: Why is the Accrued Fees number in the Deposit Detail section different from the top total?

A: It only reflects fees tied to the specific deposits listed in that section, not the full month, since deposits and transaction processing can span different dates.

Q: Do the two totals ever match?

A: Not typically. They measure different groups of transactions — Fees This Month covers the whole month, while Accrued Fees covers only the deposits shown in that section.
