Using Kit Order Editing
Creating a Kit Order is the same as creating a PO or release. You’re going to:
- Click New
- Input the Client ID
- Verify the Ship To
- Click Assign
- Select the Kit item from the Item File
- Click OK
The Kit order responds differently to Stock Kits based on the shipping address.
- Using a Client’s Ship To will release the kit from stock.
- Using the *Global Ship-To will build kits
Non-stock Kits will not use the *Global Ship To but see the same screen above.
- Enter the Order Quantity
- Cost will accumulate from the PO’s or releases generated
- Click Generate Sub-assemblies to create the PO’s and/or releases
- Documents generated will be listed in the right column
- Double click to edit and send
- A printed copy of the Kit Order can be provided to the personnel doing the kitting, while the PO’s and releases would be sent to the Vendor and Warehouse.
- PO’s and releases generated by a Kit Order are identified by a dark gray band across the top of the order.
The line item on a Kit Order has three pages, the Ship To, Sub-assemblies and Misc. Once you generate the Sub-assemblies, you will be able to see it on the sub-assembly page. Along with the corresponding order generated.
The Misc page is where you put the Client PO number and any item notes. The "Update Documents" feature will update PO’s and releases with the Client PO number.
Receiving a Kit Order
If you are pre-building the kits and stocking them in the warehouse, you will use the *Global Ship To on the Kit Order and then use Kit Receiving to receive them into the warehouse. Kit receiving is EXACTLY like PO receiving except you cannot JUMP there yet from the Kit.
Navigation: Inventory > Receive Kit Order
- Go to Inventory > Receive Kit Order. Input the Kit Order Number and Select.
- Click YES to generate receiving based on the information in the Kit Order (just like PO’s).
- Edit as needed to enter the Aisle, Row, Bin then check "Received in Full".

Minimum Order Quantities
Each item has a "per order" minimum/maximum quantity setting. That means they can order the max, check out (submit order) then log in and order the max again.
There are also Qnet user controls about what to do when the min/max isn’t met. You can ignore it, send it through to manager approval or reject the line item!
The item's minimum order amount can be applied three ways, by the Item ID, the Line Item or by Line Item and designated attribute.
- By Item ID (multi-line) - The minimum order limit is based on the total amount added to the cart of the same item ID.
- By Line Item - Each line must meet the minimum/maximum order quantities.
- By Line Item w/ Attribute – Each line must meet the minimum/maximum order quantity per defined attribute
Start by configuring the system default in Inventory Configuration. Set it to the way you want ALL of your clients to default assessing the min/max rules.
If you have a client that wants to access the min/max differently, it can be changed from system default in Client Overrides > Configuration page at the bottom.
It can also be controlled at the item level. This is also where you set up the per order minimum and maximum.
The minimum order quantity can be enforced by a selected attribute when you use the By Line Item rule. (Not with multi-line).
The checkbox of "Enforce min. order qty for each of these attributes values" will force the Q-Net user to order the minimum (or max) of this one attribute.
For Example: This is my embroidery color. The user must order a minimum of 25 shirts using this thread color attribute.
